There’s no place like home for the holidays… which is why no one’s in the office
Did you know you can set up a holiday schedule for your enterprise? On the holidays you specify, services that normally play a daily greeting and dialing menu (such as an auto attendant or call center) automatically play the after-hours greeting and dialing menu instead. If you’re a group admin, check out the iPBX Administrator User Guide for instructions on how to set this up – and if you’ve set it up already, now is a good time to check and make sure that your upcoming holidays are correctly entered.
Santa baby, give me a ring… and I do mean on the phone this time
iPBX has several features that will ensure you don’t miss a call when you are away for the holidays. Simultaneous Ring or Sequential Ring will ring a list of numbers (such as your mobile or home number) whenever someone calls your office number. If you’d rather not have your home phone ring off the hook the whole time, you can enable Call Forwarding Selective to only forward those calls that meet your criteria. And if you don’t want the phone to ring at all, but you do want to be able to respond to any important calls you’ve missed, Call Notify will send you an email or text message whenever you receive a call from a set of numbers you define.
